What are Backlinks and How They Effect SEO?

What exactly backlinks are?

Many blogger who have just recently started blogging often struggle to understand the term "Backlinks".

Backlinks or inbound links also known as inlinks, inbound links & incoming links are the links that comes to a site or webpage in mean to exchange traffic or reference of any article/topic.

Mainly there are two kind of backlinks DoFollow links & NoFollow links. I have also write detailed posts on them you can check it.

By default, all the links that you add in a blog post are do-follow links, that search engine use to optimize your webpage. 

In other hand NoFollow links are the links that search engine don't use to index for the benefit of SEO. Theses links are usually the links posted in comments etc.
